Greetings!

Welcome!

What is transformation?

In the book Walking with the Poor by Bryant Myers  poverty is defined as relationships that do not work; relationships that isolate, abandon, or devalue. Transformation is about restoring broken relationships.

Transformation seeks to see individuals transformed in their identity and vocation, helping them realize that they are made in God's image and that they have gifts to contribute to society.

Our goal in Neighborhood Transformation is to see individuals and families transformed. This in turn will lead to transformation of their neighborhoods, from the inside out.

But how does transformation come about? And how can we measure transformation? We invite you to take part with us in exploring those questions.

Greetings: The Transformation Working Group, made up of participants from four different meetings (CCIH, GHC, TD and AERDO), is studying the ways in which transformation has been put into practice and measured. In addition to a review of published literature, we are interested in knowing how development organizations measure transformation at the individual and community levels.

So we are inviting you to take a survey of your experience with transformation. Your input on the survey will be extremely helpful. If you are not directly involved with these kinds of projects, and know of someone else in your organization who would have experience in transformation initiatives, please kindly pass this survey onto them via email if possible. If you agree to participate, please complete the survey questions by clicking on Identifying Transformation Survey. We will send you a copy of the results for your responses Thanks in advance for your time and input!

Thanks for filling out the Identifying Transformation survey! We look forward to hearing from you.

You started and are facilitating a growing movement of  Neighborhood Transformation.
