Global CHE Network

March 2, 2009
Greetings!

Do you need any basic health lessons that are coordinated with the new teaching booklets? Check out this new Health Education series, available at the Global CHE Network.
New Health Education lessons

What are the most important health problems in the world today? How can they be prevented or managed at home?

This series of 24 lessons uses guidelines from the World Health Organization to tackle those key issues. The Health Education lessons could be used as basic health training for CHEs, or with older children and teens. The health education lessons are accompanied by trifold health teaching booklets, so they can share these health skills with their friends and neighbors.

Here are a few of the topics:
  • HIV and AIDS
  • Safe drinking water
  • Safe food preparation
  • Medicines
  • Colds
  • Fever
  • Caring for your teeth
  • Preventing heart disease and strokes
  • Preventing accidents
  • First Aid
. . . and many more!

Be sure to check out these basic Health Education lessons and teaching booklets.

Neighborhood Transformation seminar
NT seminar

A Neighborhood Transformation (Urban CHE) seminar will be held in Orlando, Florida from March 9-13, 2009 to train master trainers to equip the urban poor in North America to transform their own lives and their neighborhoods. The goal is to facilitate transformed lives, neighborhoods and cities through the seamless combination of evangelism, discipleship and community development.

More information can be found at Collaborative for Neighborhood Transformation.
