As Terry Dalrymple says, "The theme for our meeting will be collaboration - voluntary relationships between organizations that do not compromise autonomy but produce never before seen opportunities, capacity, and impact. I like Bryant Myers concept of transformational development as that of two stories coming together - yours and mine. Our separate stories come together for a time, we learn and grow together, and we both go away transformed by the experience. I hope that will be the character and quality of our time together." The following topics are currently slated for discussion. - New models for scaling up CHE work to reach entire districts
- Introduction to new lesson plan material from LifeWind
- Introduction to the Alliance for Transformational Ministry (ATM), the Global CHE Network, and the Collaborative for Neighborhood Transformation.
- Brainstorming concerning the possibility of regional collaborative network meetings designed to empower practitioners of wholistic community based transformational development.
- Purpose Driven CHE: How Saddleback Church is using CHE
- Training CHEs in Bible Storying
- New approaches to committee training
- Neighborhood Transformation
- New Developments for Short Term Teams
- Transformational Indicators: How do we measure impact?
We will report back with updates from the meeting. In the meantime, keep up to date with the Global CHE Network. Be sure to check out the announcements and enter the discussion on the CHE Forum.
