"I want to go beyond my parents because they are not educated. They are encouraging me to do so. I would like to follow my education until there is no stopping. I will finish every level of education needed. I want to become a teacher to encourage more children to go to school and become educated. I thank my teachers and people who have supported me, like PES, to follow my education."
Gai Deng Kur P6, Honor Student, Pagook Primary School
Gai Deng Kur is a very determined student whom I met this past April from Pagook Primary School. He came to visit me daily and when I realized how bright and curious he was, I gave him my copy of Time Magazine. Reading materials are rare and precious. He instantly began to read to me asking for help when needed. I was moved by Gai's confidence and the gratitude he expressed for his teachers, the school PES is helping his community build and the teacher training we provide. I was especially moved by his decision to become a teacher so he can encourage other children to go to school and become educated in a country which has the lowest access to primary education in the world. (UNICEF) As the New Year approaches and the season of giving is upon us, we want to thank you for your continuing support. You have been instrumental in helping Sudanese children fulfill their dream of free, equal education since 2006 and continue to make a significant impact. We want to help more young children like Gai this coming year. Won't you help?
You can make an online donation at www.projecteducationsudan.org. Your tax deductible donation will continue to create hope for the 3000 PES children serves.
What better TIME to help than now?
