On behalf of Project Education Sudan we would like to thank you for your generous contribution to GlobalGiving.  Your generosity has assisted us in furthering our 2010 goal of generating funding to help us meet our goal of providing a dormitory at Jonglei Hope Secondary Academy and Ayak Anguei Girls Primary and two more classrooms at Pagook Secondary School. We are, thanks to you, three quarters of our way there! 

 

Project Education Sudan (PES) is a charitable organization, and a registered NGO with the Government of Southern Sudan Relief and Rehabilitation Commission. PES was created as a partnership of Sudanese and Americans in response to the destruction that resulted from the twenty-year civil war between northern and southern Sudan. Our mission is to help fund and assist indigenous Sudanese organizations and communities that create educational infrastructure in rural Southern Sudan.

 

We support the building of primary and secondary schools, as well as adult education and teacher training. We believe that sustained prosperity and self-sufficiency in Southern Sudan is dependent on the education of children and adults. We emphasize the inclusion of girls and women in the educational opportunities we promote.

 

We are dedicated to cooperation among people, building trust through relationship, integrity, respect for others, transparency and commitment to our goals. We follow the UNICEF accountability model in funding projects.

 

We are achieving all this through our relationships across the nation with schools and universities, businesses, foundations, corporations, churches and community leaders and individuals such as you.
