Project Education Sudan and The Women's College, University of Denver is proud to announce our "Sister School" partnership. We are celebrating the occasion with a photographic exhibit Girls & Women of Sudan: In Pursuit of Education at the Women's College January 15-February 28, 2009.
The Ayak Anguei Girls Primary Boarding School in Konbek, southern Sudan is serving over 600 girls. Through our partnership with TWC we are bringing awareness and raising funds for girl's and women's education in an area of Africa where 93% of girls and women are undereducated or illiterate.
We invite you to come and view the exhibit at the Women's College, University of Denver located in The Merle Chambers Center for the Advancement of Women. You will experience the endurance, spirit, tenacity and desire for education that is reflected in the faces of these amazing girls and women.
The exhibit will culminate with a fundraising reception with Dean Lynn Gangone and a Sudanese representative from The Bor Women's Association of Denver speaking on the importance of education for girls and women of Sudan.
