at Corning's Gaffer District

Corning, NY - December 7, 2011 - Tracey Knapp of Painted Post, NY, and Curt Simmons of Corning, NY, have both been promoted to new positions with Corning's Gaffer District.

Knapp is the new office manager after having served as an administrative assistant since September 2010.  Prior to joining the Gaffer District, Knapp was a part-time office assistant at Dobromil Accounting in Corning.  She also worked at the Star-Gazette newspaper's former Corning bureau for 15 years.

Simmons is now maintenance manager at the Gaffer District, having spent nearly five years as a maintenance assistant.  Previously he was employed at various restaurants in the Corning-Painted Post area.

"When you have fine people with superior abilities and skills, it is important to recognize what their talents can do to improve the overall organization," said Coleen Fabrizi, executive director.  Both Tracey and Curt have already served the Gaffer District well and we expect them to continue to do so in their expanded roles."
