Corning, NY - November 16, 2011 - For the fourth consecutive year, Corning's Gaffer District is pleased to announce the Window of Gifts Giveaway as a part of the Crystal City Christmas events season.

After a highly successful debut in 2008, the Window of Gifts giveaway returns to give holiday shoppers a chance to win gift certificates and gift cards from Gaffer District businesses. This year, dozens of downtown businesses have contributed to the window, and this year's promotion will present a prize package to four different winners!

The promotion kicks off on Saturday, November 19th at the Corning Area Chamber of Commerce Holiday Family Festival. The event takes place at Corning-Painted Post East High School from 10:00am to 5:00pm. Event attendees can learn more about the Window of Gifts promotion, see the complete list of prizes and pick up entry forms to win.

With more than $3500 in total prizes, winners each week will win more than 20 gifts certificates totaling more than $700 to spend in downtown businesses - including retail, restaurants, entertainment, accommodations and services. A winner will be drawn each Wednesday, beginning November 30th and ending on December 21st. Friday, December 16th is the last chance to enter.

The Window of Gifts will be on display at 13 East Market Street, home of the Gaffer District Visual Merchandising Department from November 21st until the contest ends on Friday, December 16th.

Throughout the holiday season, visitors may enter to win at any participating business or at the Information Center of Corning. Entry is limited to one per person per location and open to individuals age 21 and older.

The Crystal City Christmas season continues with the 17th annual Parade of Lights on Saturday, November 26th followed by the 37th annual Sparkle on Saturday, December 3rd.
