Corning, NY - October 26, 2010 - Corning's Gaffer District is pleased to announce that Wooly Minded will relocate its retail operation, effective November 5, 2010.
Currently located at 103 W. Market St., Wooly Minded has been serving craft enthusiasts since its opening in March 2007. Offering a diverse inventory of yarn, knitting, and crocheting accessories, Wooly Minded has become a go-to hotspot for crafters over the past three years.
While the store has welcomed significant traffic at its second-floor location, an opportunity to expand to a new first-floor space seemed like a no-brainer for co-owners Jean Gray and Whitney Trifoso. On Sunday, October 31, 2010, Wooly Minded will close at its current location and move to 91 E. Market Street, a building that underwent major renovation by developer Chip Klugo in 2009. The building also houses seven luxury apartments and retailers Nail Tech and Bass Shoes.
The store will be re-open on Friday, November 5th, just in time for Holidazzle, the shopping weekend that serves as the official kickoff to the Crystal City Christmas events season.
Co-owner Whitney Trifoso is excited about the relocation, noting, "After three great years in our current location, we're excited to expand to a new, first-floor location on Market Street. We love owning a business in such a vibrant community and we look forward to serving not only current but new customers as well!"
