A longtime civic partner of Corning's Gaffer District, the Corning Lions Club has generously contributed to the beauty and appearance of downtown Corning by providing and servicing trash containers and ash trays.  Most recently, the Corning Lions Club has assisted by replacing damaged Plexiglas panels on the bus stop/shelter on the corner of Tioga Avenue and Wall Street.

 

Over the past ten years, the Corning Lions Club has given nearly $20,000 for these municipal service projects and continues to offer support and volunteer time to Corning's Gaffer District.  Consistent with its international mission of creating and fostering a spirit of understanding among all people for humanitarian needs by providing voluntary services through community involvement and international cooperation, he Corning Lions Club has been a great asset to not only our downtown, but to our greater community in general.
