Education Consultant Landon Shewmake, pictured, will give an overview of The Leader in Me education program designed by Franklin Covey at Fourth Friday Luncheon.

"The world has entered an era of the most profound and challenging change in human history. Most of our children are not yet prepared for these changes, and we know it. Meanwhile, businesses are seeking employees with strong skills in communication, teamwork, analysis, technology, and organization. 'The Leader in Me' helps schools prepare young people to be self-motivated, flexible, and to have a strong work ethic," Nacogdoches County Chamber President/CEO Bruce Partain said.

We are fast approaching our blueberry harvest season and things are moving right along!  We are checking the blooms weekly to monitor their progress.
Like all of us, the plants are ready for the winter weather to end so they can get busy making blueberries!
