Dear Members:

With the return of September comes the return of new goals and renewed energy. September also promises to be both busy and productive at the Vaughan Chamber.
The Vaughan Chamber of Commerce is pleased to be able to bring you a Provincial Election Debate on September 22 at La Primavera Banquet & Convention Centre. This is a free event that all are welcome to attend! More information on the debate can be found in this newsletter. September also will see the launch of an exciting seminar series from facilitator Joe Pampena, entitled "Create Your Future Success". Please click here to learn about these unique courses. And finally, set aside some time for fun with the exclusive Jones New York Fashion Show on September 28.
In addition, VCC President & CEO Deborah Bonk Greenwood and I will be attending the Canadian Chamber of Commerce Annual General Meeting in St. John's, Newfoundland from September 17 - 19. The Vaughan Chamber of Commerce will take an active voting role on federal policy resolutions on your behalf. We are proud to represent the Vaughan business community on national issues that affect you. Also, to keep you informed our Policy Committee developed and submitted a 2012 Federal Budget submission on "Green Energy" and we are now waiting to hear back from the federal Standing Committee of Finance if it was accepted. If accepted, the Policy Committee will make a full presentation in Toronto within the next two months on your behalf.
The Vaughan Chamber of Commerce is ready for autumn. Please take advantage of our numerous benefits and join your fellow businesses in supporting the Vaughan Chamber in its ongoing role as the voice of your business community.
Sincerely,
Michael Manett Chairman of the Board of Directors
