Dear ,

On March 24th, Dr. Diane Langemo led a very educational webinar on pressure ulcers , "Heel Pressure Ulcers: A to Z". She gave a comprehensive presentation that included the basics as well as new information that can be used as a guide to establish protocol or revise protocol to meet new standards.

Highlights included:
  • Identifying the various stages of a pressure ulcer
  • Domestic and international penalties for hospital-acquired ulcers
  • New NPUAP/EPUAP guidelines and how they affect your facility's protocol
  • What are considered "avoidable" and "unavoidable" pressure ulcers by CMS
  • Preventing and treating pressure ulcers
  • Necessary features of a pressure-relieving device
DM Systems would like to thank everyone who participated in the live event. Remember, the Q&A is available in both audio and PDF formats. For those who couldn't be a part of the live Webinar, you can still register and have direct access to the presentation. Both the presentation and Q&A can be found at:

For more informative videos, visit the Resource Center on our web site for presentations on the Heelift® Suspension Boot including  "The Advantages of Heelift"  recorded on the show floor at SAWC Spring 2009. Watch as Manager of Sales Operations Michael Drennan explains the key features of the Heelift and what makes it better than other devices on the market.

See the Heelift Suspension Boot for yourself at this year's SAWC Spring Booth # 524 and learn how the Heelift may better serve your patients than your current pressure-relieving device.

Sincerely,

"[The Heelift] really takes pressure off even if the patient moves; it's easier to install. It can be used in bed or in wheelchair. The ulcer on his left heel, which was present for at least 2 months, is completely cured after 2 weeks. [The patient] now keeps the Heelift to prevent a new ulcer."thumsbup
