international pressure ulcer prevention and treatment guidelines highlighting the necessary components for a proper pressure
ulcer protocol:
  • Risk Assessment
  • Skin Assessment
  • Skin Care
  • Nutrition
  • Repositioning
  • Support Surfaces
Both NPUAP and EPUAP stress that, combined with regular
inspection, a heel pressure-relieving device should elevate the
heel and distribute weight of the calf without transferring
pressure to the Achilles tendon. The Heelift Suspension Boot
