A Message from the County Administrator
Steve L. Howard, County AdministratorHappy Fall! Camden County Government continues to strive to meet our strategic goals of ensuring that our citizens are provided excellent service.
On September 18, 2012, the Board of County Commissioners adopted the General Fund Countywide millage rate of 11.70 mils for the general operating budget for the County.  This rate is the same rate as the last four years.  The Tax Digest decreased another -7.49% for the year 2012. This decrease, combined with years 2010 and 2011, has resulted in a decrease to the digest of almost a -20% decline and $3.8 million in lost revenues.

As the 2012 calendar year comes to an end during the next three months, I encourage you to stay connected to Camden County Government:
  • Visit our website at Camden County's website provides access to information about our community, as well as individual pages for each County department and their specific functions.
  • Sign up to receive real time notifications, such as agendas, emergency alerts, press releases, job posting, and more, via the Notify Me feature on the County's website.
  • "Like" us on Facebook, and Follow us on Twitter! As more and more citizens in our community use social networking to receive and share information, the Board of County Commissioners also uses these tools to enhance customer service and community outreach.
I look forward to working with each of you as we continue to move Camden County forward.

Yours for a better Camden,

Steve L. Howard, CPM, CPPO
