Message from the President

The "do more with less" theory seems to be alive and well in our profession and in all our hospitals.  With increasing workloads and stressors, we need each other more than ever.

One of the issues we've been discussing at board meetings is the availability of a DVS to attend conferences.  We all know that networking is our most valuable resource.
Erin O'Mara has worked very hard to put together Regional Meetings.  Please do your best to attend these meetings, and at that time, give us feedback on how we can make attendance at the Spring '09 conference doable for you.

With the monthly newsletter and a new website, we are a well-connected group.  I hear from all of you how much you value the advice and assistance that is offered through all these venues.  I look forward to hearing your thoughts and comments.

New Website Goes Live
Carol Bridges

The redesigned MCDVS web page is up and running thanks to the team of Stevens & Tate Marketing/Edora Digital Solutions and MCDVS Board members!  Please take a moment to look at the redesign by visiting www.mcdvs.com.

My sincere appreciation to Edora Digital Solutions for their countless hours and webinar training to make this project successful.   The professionalism of their staff was remarkable.  Their ability to bring technical jargon down to the beginner level was a gift.  As you know, this was a huge learning experience for me, but they made it fun.

I hope you will notice the many new features that have been added to the site, so the membership will have an even better resource.  Please note: a user ID (mcdvs) and password (cab08) are required to log in to the "Members Only" area.

We hope you will enjoy mcdvs.com and find it user friendly.  Should you have any questions or comments, please contact me at tamera.varkas@oakwood.org or write a comment in the "Contact Us" portion of the website.
