The UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) has partnered with mGive to allow mobile contributions for the flood victims in Pakistan
Torrential rains and the resulting flash floods have affected millions of Pakistanis. The devastating floods, which started July 29, have killed at least 1,500 people, and left an estimated 4 millions homeless. Water-borne disease is now one of the major concerns.
Anyone in the United States can now text the word "SWAT" to 50555 to give $10 and help these flood victims. When prompted, reply with "YES" to confirm your gift.
Every $10 helps provide tents and emergency aid to displaced families. In Balochistan, UNHCR has already delivered 4,000 tents, 2,700 plastic sheets, 2,200 kitchen sets, and 4,000 plastic mats to the hardest hit areas.
