PDBH is Awarded the Ndinadsawapanga Award

Pray the Devil Back to Hell is awarded the Ndinadsawapanga (pronounced Naj Jaah pang ga) Award from the I Will Tell Film Festival in London for the most "telling" film. Jericho Films will make a donation to WIPSEN-AFRICA, the organization that Leymah Gbowee co-founded.

The Women's Media Center Honors PDBH Filmmakers and other Women in the Media

The Women's Media Center Announces First Annual Media Awards honoring top women in the media. Two of them are Pray the Devil Back to Hell's filmmakers, Producer Abigail E. Disney and Director Gini Reticker. The awards will take place at an evening cocktail party hosted by WMC co-founder, Gloria Steinem, at the Sackler Foundation in NYC on June 17.

64 for Aung San Suu Kyi

Aung San Suu Kyi (pronounced Ong San Soo Chee), Burma's pro-democracy leader and Nobel Peace laureate, symbolizes the struggle of Burma's people to be free. She has been detained for over 13 years by the Burmese regime for campaigning for human rights and democracy in Burma. She was on arrested on May 14th and is now being held in Insein Prison, a prison notorious for its terrible conditions and horrific treatment of prisoners.

Help to reach their goal to gather thousands of messages by her 64th Birthday, June 19th 2009.
