Abigail Disney to receive Lives of Commitment Award
Auburn Theological Seminary honors three women who changed the world at its 2009 Lives of Commitment Awards on May 28, 2009 at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York City. The visionaries who will receive the awards are philanthropist and PDBH film producer Abigail E. Disney, environmentalist Wendy Paulson, and Rabbi and Cantor Angela Buchdahl.

I found the project totally by accident on a trip to Liberia to explore how I could be helpful through my foundation. I just heard some women refer to it here and there and started trying to put together all the pieces I was hearing. Little by little I figured out that something incredible had happened and it was unknown outside of Liberia and that just struck me as so deeply wrong.

Detained In North Korea : Journalist Laura Ling and Euna Lee
On Thursday, May 21st, a candlelight vigil was held for two Asian American journalists, Laura Ling and Euna Lee, to ensure their safe return. They have been detained in Korea since March 17th on the charges of illegal entry into the DPRK (Democratic People's Republic of Korea) and suspected hostile acts. Their trial is set to stand on June 4th. We ask for your continuing prayers for their safe and soon return.
