News from Davos, Switzerland
The screening at the World Economic Forum on Saturday, January 31 was received magnificently well. The event was packed with crown princes, ministers of finance, social entrepreneurs, journalists, and corporate leaders who gave the film a standing ovation. Director Gini Reticker and producer Abigail Disney were thrilled to share the stage with Archbishop Desmond Tutu and New York Times columnist Nick Kristof, and had an overall fantastic experience in Davos.
The Pray the Devil Back to Hell team would like to extend a sincere thanks to our Co-producer Johanna Hamilton and Young Global Leaders of the World Economic Forum, particularly Paul van Zyl of the International Center of Transitional Justice, for taking the initiative to bring PDBH to the forum.
Honored with Cinema for Peace Justice Award
We are also thrilled that PDBH has been chosen for the Cinema for Peace Justice Award 2009. The award will be presented during the ceremony on February 9th at the Konzerthaus in Berlin.
