| New Street Signs In Bedford Park | | The industrial area is getting new street/tenant I.D. signs in the near future. In about six weeks 10 signs will go up along 65th Street. Slated for the new signs along 65th are: Old Harlem, Sayre, Oak Park, Nashville, Narragansett, Austin, Central, Lorel, Laramie and LaVergne. Next year 13 more signs will be placed along 73rd and 65th Streets.
Thanks to the Public Works Department, Mayor Brady and the Village Board of Trustees, this much needed project is becoming a reality. Jack Edwards has been working with Roger Johnson, owner of All-American Sign Company designing the signs. We also welcome Roger as a new member of the Bedford Park-Clearing Industrial Association. | |

Our History:
Over the years, many people have associated the Lackey name with quality packaging. The Lackey family, combined, has well over 200 years of experience in all facets of the packaging industry. Our vast knowledge and expertise gives us the capability to offer our customers quality products and outstanding service at prices that beat the competition.
It all began with our father, Dallas Lackey, who started his career in the packaging industry in 1949. After serving his country in the U.S. Navy, Dallas became involved in virtually every aspect of the industry, from packaging design, to product engineering, to production and sales. Dallas retired in 1998 at the age of 70, and immediately joined his youngest son and his daughter at Questcor. His wealth of experience proved instrumental in regard to equipment acquisition and plant layout. Today, Dallas Lackey serves as Chairman Emeritus for Questcor and PKGING.com, and he continues to play a key role in both companies.
Larry Lackey, President and founder of PKGING.com and Questcor, began his career in the packaging industry in 1978. Larry spent most of his career focusing on sales and marketing, and is well known in the industry for providing a great customer experience. In 1995, after many successful years with two well regarded packaging companies, Larry Lackey founded Questcor, a provider of total packaging solutions to mid-size corporations. Sales were made on adirect call basis, and a solid client base was established. In 2007, Larry saw an opportunity to expand his business by marketing to smaller packaging companies. He chose to reach this new market via the Internet, and PKGING.com was born. While challenging, Larry's decision to create PKGING.com has proven to be a good one as it continues to set the standard for packaging suppliers.
Dawn Nowak, Larry's sister, began her professional career in 1988. She is officially the first Questcor employee hired by Larry Lackey. From the beginning, her insight andknowledge proved beneficial to the organization. As her brother's only employee, she quickly gained experience in all areas of the business. Today, Dawn is the Operations Manager of both Questcor and PKGING.com. She is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of both companies, with all department heads reporting directly to her.
