New Hotels and Restaurant at the
Midway Hotel Center
The MidwayHotelCenter continues to grow and foster economic rejuvenation near the ChicagoMidwayInternationalAirport, with the opening of two new hotels last fall. The locally owned Weglarz Company LLC is pleased to announce the addition of the Holiday Inn Chicago Midway and the Residence Inn Chicago Midway in October 2008. These new additions will grow the hotel campus that began with Hampton Inn in 1990; into a convenient, comfortable, meeting and lodging destination featuring over 1300 guest rooms in nine hotels, over 15,000 square feet of meeting space and four fabulous restaurants. Coaches Bar and Grill located in The Holiday Inn Chicago Midway also opened last October.
These openings further solidify the vision of Weglarz family patriarch Jack Weglarz, in creating an inviting, comfortable, high quality lodging and dining destination for all the neighborhood residents, businesses, and Chicago travelers within the MidwayAirport area. The hotel center is often referred to as a campus by associates who work there, as the hotels and restaurants compliment the needs of all their guests with the variety of accommodations available, making the MidwayHotelCenter one of the most unique hotel complexes out there. The campus of hotels is also firmly rooted in its community, providing career opportunities to hundreds of area residents and upholding traditions of community that can be traced back to the Cracker Jack factory that occupied the site from the early to mid 1900s!
The Holiday Inn Chicago Midway features 146 guest rooms with urban contemporary furnishings and décor. All of the rooms have plush bedding, flat panel LCD televisions, and free wireless internet access. The indoor pool and exceptionally well crafted patio areas bring the campus setting indoors.
