STG 2012-2013 SEASON LAUNCH CELEBRATION WEEKEND

The Seattle Theatre Group recently launched the upcoming 2012-2013 season, filled with some of the most exciting and enriching performing arts programs available in the world today. Continuing a tradition of presenting diverse programs, the season represents an international rainbow of arts and culture. Sprinkled with extraordinary art from the US, the stage is set for a season of exploration that enlivens our global palette. To celebrate, the Seattle Theatre Group will be opening the Paramount Theatre doors for 3 days of FREE events! Beginning on May 4^th and ending on May 6^th with a community block party that will feature music, dance, visual performance and demonstration, arts and crafts, food, and more. All events will take place at the Historic Paramount Theatre. Mark your calendars for a fun filled weekend of celebrating the arts and culture of Seattle!

MILLION DOLLAR FRIDAY

Friday, May 4^th, 5:30 - 8PM, PARAMOUNT THEATRE

Walk your line to have happy hour at the Paramount Theatre with special guest Vince Mira. He's been called the reincarnation of Johnny Cash, appeared on national television and he's coming back to the Paramount Theatre to entertain us during this special Happy Hour with his own dynamic style of country and rock 'n roll, reminiscent of the music featured in the hit musical Million Dollar Quartet (running at The Paramount May 15-20). Enjoy Vince, happy hour drink specials, retro games, giveaways and tons of Friday fun.

FREE TOUR SATURDAY

Saturday, May 5, 10 AM, PARAMOUNT THEATRE

Take 90 minutes to delve into the history of Seattle's iconic Paramount Theatre. Tours led by guides who unlock little known facts about the history of this grand theatre. Be sure to ask about the zodiac chandelier.

TASTE THE SEASON SUNDAY

Sunday, May 6, 2012, noon - 4 PM, PARAMOUNT THEATRE

Celebrate the upcoming 2012 - 2013 season with us! Free international foods, demonstrations and performances, spotlight on some of our local partners and community resources, music, dance, games, giveaways, and surprises! It's a free day inside the beautiful Paramount Theatre (on our flat floor) and along 9th Avenue. Bring the whole family! FREE FOOD TO THE FIRST 500 PEOPLE PROVIDED BY OUR FAVORITE FOOD TRUCK VENDORS!

Our mission is to make diverse performing arts and education an integral part of our region's cultural identity while keeping three historic venues, The Paramount, Moore and Neptune, alive and vibrant. STG presents a range of performances from Broadway, off-Broadway, dance and jazz, to comedy, concerts of all genres, speakers and family shows - at these three iconic theatres in Seattle and venues throughout the Puget Sound region and in Portland, Oregon.

Based on Pollstar, the Concert Hotwire Magazine's 2011 Mid-Year Worldwide Ticket Sales, STG ranked #43 of the Top 100 promoters and The Paramount (ranked #12) and The Moore (ranked #44) were placed very well among the Top 100 Theatre Venues.

STG is the 501 (c)(3) non-profit arts organization that operates the historic Paramount, Moore and Neptune Theatres in Seattle, Washington.
