On my recent trip to the island of Oahu, Hawaii to teach a weekend seminar, I happily was able to spend time with my niece.  Siri rides and works with Polo Ponies, keeping them fit and ready to play, by swimming them in the ocean.  I was blown away by her quiet and gentle way of creating an experience that was both comfortable and fun for the horse.  

I thought you might appreciate seeing some amazing underwater photos of her with her horse off the North Shore of Oahu. These photos were shot by a photographer that works for "Free Surf" magazine and does an amazing job shooting Siri and her horse from below.   

What is difficult to convey is the amazing trust that she has established with her horses. I watched her gently coax "Kula" into the water walking back and forth deeper and deeper into the surf until they were both swimming.  Kula followed Siri out into the deep water without trying to turn back or any signs of panic.

She finally turned Kula back towards shore and swam her towards the beach.  When they got to firm footing, they calmly walked out of the water.  For those not used to this (like me) it was truly amazing to watch.

This month we want to give you a sneak preview of High Horse Video Production creating Jim's new DVD.  We were fortunate to be able to video the professionals at work who used three cameras to follow Jim through all his techniques on "Uno."  High Horse Video will be editing to create a professional product for sale due out in November and will be available to purchase with the book, Beyond Horse Massage.  Our sound capability is not up to that of the "pros", but thought you might enjoy this quick preview.
