Here it is March and we are fast approaching the launch of the widely awaited introduction of AdviseTech/Airdefense Hosted Wireless monitoring and protection service. Sooner or later most usinesses will have to comply with the new wireless standard. These are now required by PCI, Sarbanes- Oxley, and various Local and Federal Agencies. In light of this, AdviseTech is dedicating this month's newsletter to help explain as well as infrom you on how you can obtain and comply with these new services & functionalities.

The legislation came into force in 2002 and introduced major changes to the regulation of financial practices and corporate governance. Named after Senator Paul Sarbanes and Representative Michael Oxley, who were its main architects, it also set a number of deadlines for compliance.

HIPAA Compliance |
HIPAA is an acronym for the Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Act of 1996 August 21, Public Law 104-191, which amended the Internal Revenue Service Code of 1986. Also known as the Kennedy-Kassebaum Act, the Act includes a section, Title ll, entitled Administrative Simplification.
· 1. Improved efficiency in healthcare delivery be standardizing electronic data interchange, and
· 2 Protection of confidentiality and security of health data through setting and enforcing standards.
The bottom line: sweeping changes in most healthcare transaction and administrative information systems.
