Greetings!
Welcome to the June 18 edition of the It's All Good Astrology News. Sorry I'm so late getting out -- I'm still playing catch-up after returning from Peru last week!
I know that many of you are eager to hear about how I've changed after a month of shamanic ceremonies in the jungle, and I will be sharing highlights soon. (When I'm not running late on my newsletter deadline!) I will ask you to keep an open mind as I share my tale: I'd have trouble believing a lot of it myself if I hadn't experienced it firsthand!
In summary, it was one of the most challenging, intense and rewarding experiences of my life. Thanks to the skill of master shaman Don Diego, and the magic of the amazing plant spirit teacher ayahuasca, I experienced the most powerful spiritual awakening of my life. And, unlike other awakenings I have experienced in prior ceremonies, this one has stayed with me. (Yay!)
I can even feel a difference in my astrology work: there's an enhanced ease and flow in the sessions I have done since returning. I haven't done any shamanic healing since returning, but am eager to see what new experiences await me and my clients as I resume that part of my work!
I filled 85 pages of legal pads with notes while I was in the jungle, so I promise that I will have plenty of specifics to share. In fact, I will soon be giving a public presentation about my experiences (will set a date soon), and also have plans for a blog and book on the subject. As always, you, my beloved newsletter readers, will be the first to know!

Celestial Forecast: June 18-24

Whatever your sun sign, this forecast will help you choose how to best use the current astrological energies! Events are most powerful on the dates listed. However, their influence will be active for at least several days before and after. All dates and times are in the U.S. eastern time zone.
While everyone is affected by these global transits, you will be most powerfully impacted when moving planets activate natal planets and other sensitive points in your birth chart.
VOID-OF-COURSE MOONS.
It's best to avoid starting important new projects or making major purchases during these times. "Business as usual" is the best strategy for these periods, which occur when the Moon has made its last major Ptolemaic aspect but has not yet moved into the next sign. Learn more here.

6/19 (Tue). There could be some discomfort with initiative versus inertia, with Mars semi-sextile Saturn. However, these energies consciously combined can also provide Energizer Bunny endurance!
The June New Moon lights up the sky at 11:02 AM (28°43' Gemini). This is an excellent time to consider how "full-filled" you are with what you're learning and communicating. And do you have a playful, childlike spirit easily available within you?
The aspects to this lunation are custom-made for Law of Attraction opportunities! Neptune (imagination, visualization) and Saturn (physical manifestation) easily connect with this New Moon with trines. And a square from Mars adds abundant energy into the mix! The Sabian Symbol for this lunation is, "The first mockingbird of spring sings from the treetop." The mockingbird would seem to represent adaptability. Not only can it imitate the sounds of other birds and insects, but it was Charles Darwin's observations of mockingbirds in the Galapagos islands that helped him to first develop the idea of the evolution of species. Gemini is all about flexibility and variety: how are you doing in those areas?
6/20 (Wed). What adjustments are needed in your relationships, finances and creative expression? Are there things you need to release in any of these areas, in order to make room for paradigm shifts or fresh energy? These are good questions to ask with Venus quincunx Pluto and sextile Uranus on the same day!
If expression seems more difficult, whether the censorship is internal or external, it could be due to a Mercury-Saturn square. But this same aspect can also be used to enhance mental focus and discipline!

Eric Meyers
These "Practitioner Profiles" feature those who donated a session to our recent "Get Benjamin to Peru" Raffle.
Eric Meyers, M.A. is both a counseling astrologer and an author/philosopher, currently living in Asheville, NC. With a background in Transpersonal Counseling Psychology (Naropa University), his focus is on how astrology relates to the process of spiritual awakening. Eric has 20 years' experience as a counselor and has been a professional astrologer for 12 years. As a graduate of the Steven Forrest Apprenticeship program, Eric would be considered an "evolutionary astrologer" -- though his work adds a transpersonal angle to this growing field.
Eric assists clients in understanding the nature of the unconscious, the karma needing to be resolved, and that the intentions are for further growth and awakening. He encourages people to solidify their foundation of self-love (Moon), which helps to ground their awakened (Sun) potentials. His approach is non-judgmental, compassionate, and inspiring!
Eric's fourth book, Elements & Evolution: The Spiritual Landscape of Astrology, was released in 2010. That breakthrough work helped Eric attain broader recognition as a unique, fresh voice in the field. His new book, The Astrology of Awakening, Vol. 1: Eclipse of the Ego, has just been released.
Eric has lectured at several astrology conferences and groups, book stores, metaphysical fairs and other venues. He is available for speaking engagements, consultations and astrology tutoring. His deepest desire is to contribute to the renewal of astrology at this pivotal time in human history.
