The Astrology of 2012, Part 4:
Neptune in Pisces

I once again thank my friend and fellow astrologer Eric Meyers, for allowing me to include some of his ideas from our "Big Change Now!" presentation into this article.
In the prior installment of this series, we looked at the revolutionary transformation being catalyzed by the Uranus-Pluto square. In this article, we focus on the other outer planet and its momentous change of sign!
Neptune enters Pisces this Wednesday, February 3. It remains in Pisces -- the sign that it rules -- through 2025. To get a sense of what this might mean for us, let's consider what happened the last time Neptune transited Pisces, in 1848-1861.
Spirituality
Several significant spiritual events occurred during Neptune's prior visit to Pisces in the mid-1800s. Spiritualism, with its emphasis on communication with the dead, became wildly popular in the United States.The Blessed Virgin Mary appeared to Bernadette Soubirous at Lourdes, France. And spiritual maverick Rudolf Steiner, founder of the Anthroposophical Society, was born.
Neptune's current transit of Pisces should only accelerate the spiritual awakenings now occurring with increasing frequency around the globe. With a new Golden Age now blossoming, this period should witness vast numbers of people awakening to their true spiritual nature.
Fully conscious of their true divine essence, they will function not as human beings having a spiritual experience, but as spiritual beings who have chosen to have a human experience. Having achieved this state, they will help uplift those around them as they naturally radiate unconditional love and compassion.

Celestial Forecast: Jan. 30 - Feb. 5
by Benjamin Bernstein Whatever your sun sign, this forecast will help you choose how to best use the current astrological energies! Events are most powerful on the dates listed. However, their influence will be active for at least several days before and after. All dates and times are in the U.S. eastern time zone. While everyone is affected by these global transits, you will be most powerfully impacted when moving planets activate natal planets and other sensitive points in your birth chart. VOID-OF-COURSE MOONS.
It's best to avoid starting important new projects or making major purchases during these times. "Business as usual" is the best strategy for these periods, which occur when the Moon has made its last major Ptolemaic aspect but has not yet moved into the next sign. 1/30 (Mon). Creative inspiration can be significantly empowered by the quintile connecting Piscean Venus and Pluto. Positive transformation in your relationships and finances is also supported.
2/1 (Wed). Relationship challenges can arise with Venus opposing Mars. And with Venus in Pisces and Mars in Virgo, it can be easy to unconsciously fall into the role of victim or victimizer. However, you can also use an opposition consciously and cooperatively. Accentuate this one's harmonious possibilities by focusing on how you can join forces in the service of higher ideals!
2/3 (Thu). One of the biggest astrological events of the year occurs today as Neptune enters Pisces. Challenging aspects of this long-term residency, through 2025, could include denial, escapism, addictive behaviors and aimlessness. Used wisely, however, this placement supports spiritual awakening, divinely inspired creativity, and unconditional love and compassion for all beings. Let's focus on the latter, shall we?
