Benjamin's "Astrology of 2012" Lecture
This Tuesday!
Benjamin will lecture on "The Astrology of 2012" this Tuesday, Jan. 10 at 7 pm. He will speak at Crystal Visions, 5426 Asheville Hwy in Naples, NC 28760 (just south of Asheville).

Celestial Forecast: January 9-15
by Benjamin Bernstein Whatever your sun sign, this forecast will help you choose how to best use the current astrological energies! Events are most powerful on the dates listed. However, their influence will be active for at least several days before and after. All dates and times are in the U.S. eastern time zone. While everyone is affected by these global transits, you will be most powerfully impacted when moving planets activate natal planets and other sensitive points in your birth chart. VOID-OF-COURSE MOONS.
It's best to avoid starting important new projects or making major purchases during these times. "Business as usual" is the best strategy for these periods, which occur when the Moon has made its last major Ptolemaic aspect but has not yet moved into the next sign. Learn more here.
1/9, 9:25 pm - 11:37 pm (Leo) 1/12, 3:24 am - 4:46 am (Virgo) 1/13, 8:59 pm - 1/14, 8:30 am (Libra) 1/9 (Mon). The January Full Moon shines forth at 2:30 AM (18°25' Cancer). Consider how "full-filled" you are in the areas of nurturing, healing, home life, family, and emotional sensitivity, and make appropriate adjustments.
This Full Moon has two notable aspects. The sextile from Mars energizes the life areas mentioned above, and can add some sexual sizzle to the rising emotions always associated with this lunation. At the same time, a Chiron sesquiquadrate might bring up some old wounds to be healed.
The Sabian Symbol for this Full Moon is, "A fragile miss, representative of proud old blood, is wed in a marriage ceremony by a priest to the eager youth of the new order." A far cry from the current US political climate, this symbol reminds us that old ways of thinking can harmoniously merge with new ways of being. However crazy the world around us may appear, we can always choose to enter harmoniously into union with the all-that-is - which unconditionally loves everything, old and new, without exception.
It's an ideal time to give or receive sage advice on practical matters with Capricornian Mercury sextile Chiron.
With the Capricornian Sun quintile Uranus, experiment with innovative approaches to traditional problems - especially if the solutions pop in via intuitive flash!
