Benjamin to Teach Full-Day "Become Your Own Shaman" Workshop --
Sat., Aug. 20 in Floyd, VA
Benjamin will lead a "Become Your Own Shaman" workshop on Saturday, Aug. 20 from 10 am - 4 pm at Anahata Education Center in southwest Virginia. Tuition is $77, satisfaction guaranteed: anyone who is not pleased with the workshop will be entitled to a full refund.
The workshop will focus on simple, potent "Ask and Receive" techniques for self-healing, spiritual awakening and channeling energy to others. Large- and small-group processes will be included. Individual work between Benjamin and selected volunteers will be energetically supported by the group.
Group processes will include expanded light body awareness, conscious merging with the Higher Self, and the seamless, grounded integration of the light body and physical body.
The guiding principle behind the "Become Your Own Shaman" work is that a person needs no special skills or training to call in divine healing and awakening. The only requirement is the ability to create a clear, simple invocation.

Celestial Forecast for August 8-14

Whatever your sun sign, this forecast will help you choose how to best use the current astrological energies! Events are most powerful on the dates listed. However, their influence will be active for at least several days before and after. All dates and times are in the U.S. eastern time zone.
While everyone is affected by these global transits, you will be most powerfully impacted when moving planets activate natal planets and other sensitive points in your birth chart.
VOID-OF-COURSE MOONS. It's best to avoid starting important new projects or making major purchases during these times. "Business as usual" is the best strategy for these periods, which occur when the Moon has made its last major Ptolemaic aspect but has not yet moved into the next sign. 8/10, 4:34 pm - 8/11, 11:49 pm (Aquarius)
8/14, 8:26 am - 8:55 am (Pisces)
8/8 (Mon). Mercury enters Leo today for an unusually long stay, through 9/8. (Its month-long residency is because it's currently retrograde, and will turn direct in Leo.) This is a great energy for creative expression, especially forms such as writing, speaking and singing which involve words.
Mercury also opposes Neptune today, increasing the flow of divinely inspired creativity and making it easy for the mind to receive intuitive input.
8/9 (Tue) & 8/11 (Thu). Be careful with the volatile energies crackling through the week of August 8! Cancerian Mars squares Uranus on Tuesday and opposes Pluto on Thursday. To avoid accidents or violence, within your family or out in the world, act mindfully and steer clear of unstable people and situations. (Mars' Tuesday trine to Chiron, the wounded healer, adds yet another cautionary note here.)
Harness this energy for the good by acting immediately on your intuitive flashes. These energies can also be positively expressed with exercise, sports, high-side sex, and expressing your inner leader or warrior. Mentoring and healing are supported by the trine to Chiron. And if Pluto calls for transformation in your life, embrace it!
8/13 (Sat). The August Full Moon shines forth at 2:57 PM (20°41' Aquarius). If you're not completely "full-filled" with your individuation, uniqueness, ingenuity, "weird factor" and humanitarian service, then make appropriate adjustments. Also note how you're balancing your individual needs with those of others, since Venus tightly opposes the Moon.
This Full Moon's Sabian Symbol is, "A woman disappointed and disillusioned, courageously facing a seemingly empty life." Far from being negative, this symbol portrays that essential period in the awakening process when one can finally break free of false beliefs. Many people can only envision a matchbox future, tragically compressed, excessively planned and seemingly destined. This woman faces a refreshingly clear and unbounded vista, with sufficient silence to hear her intuitive guidance's infallible wisdom. May we all be fortunate enough to reach this point in the journey!
