Pluto and Uranus come within 1° of their applying square (a 90° angle) in early August. These two planets were conjunct during the 60s, and were primarily responsible for the revolutionary transformation which dominated that volatile decade. Although they will make seven exact squares in the years 2012 through 2015, we've been feeling their building influence at least since the global financial crisis of 2008. Now that we're in "The 60s, Part 2," it's time to embrace revolutionary transformation as the new status quo!

8/1 (Mon). Venus trines Uranus and quincunxes Pluto today. Stay receptive to intuitive flashes regarding relationships, creativity and finance, and stand ready to make adjustments in these areas as well.
        A Sun-Jupiter square can fire up plenty of energy, but can also invoke an excessive sense of grandeur. Be careful not to over-extend yourself!
        With both Venus and the Sun in Leo, the effects of these transits can be dramatic. Don't play to the cheap seats it doesn't serve your cause.

8/2 (Tue). Mercury retrograde begins at 11:50 pm, ending on 8/26 at 6:03 pm. If possible, avoid starting major new initiatives or making major purchases under this energy. Otherwise something significant may have to be redone down the line. Also pay special attention to travel details, communications, and technology, and be sure to back up your important data!
        This is an excellent time for reflection -- especially, this time around, on spiritual union and divinely inspired creativity. (Mercury tightly opposes Neptune as it stations.) Mercury retrograde is also great for making repairs and completing existing projects.

8/3 (Wed). Mars enters Cancer today and stays through 9/18. You can either fight with your family, or actively radiate nurturing and compassion to all who come within your orbit.
        Mars also trines Neptune, easing the way for action in the areas of spirituality, divinely inspired creativity and acting as a conduit for divine light and love.

8/4 (Thu). Neptune finishes its first foray into Pisces today, returning to Aquarius through 2/3/12. Take advantage of this encore presentation of spiritual experimentation, breakthroughs in divine consciousness and inspired creativity.

8/5 (Fri). Your awareness of the importance financial, creative and relational issues in your life may be amplified with Venus square Jupiter. Your ability to see practical, mature responses to them is supported by a Sun-Saturn sextile.

8/7 (Sun). Venus, tracking close behind the Sun, makes her own sextile to Saturn today. This supports creative productivity, clearheaded thinking about finances and a pragmatic approach to relationships.
