Celestial Forecast for June 29-July 5, 2009

Whatever your sun sign, this forecast will help you choose how to best use the current astrological energies! Events are most powerful on the dates listed. However, their influence will be active for at least several days before and after. All dates and times are in the U.S. eastern time zone.
While everyone is affected by these global transits, you will be most powerfully impacted when moving planets activate natal planets and other sensitive points in your birth chart.
VOID-OF-COURSE MOONS. It's best to avoid starting important new projects or making major purchases during these times. "Business as usual" is the best strategy for these periods, which occur when the Moon has made its last major Ptolemaic aspect but has not yet moved into the next sign. 6/30 (Tue).
A calm, receptive mind is the ideal receptacle for catching all the intuitive
flashes being generated by today's Jupiter-Uranus semi-sextile --
especially since the two planets are also linking up by mutual reception. Now
through the end of July will also be a great time for religious experimentation,
unconventional quests and inspiring breakthroughs!
7/1 (Wed).
July opens dramatically, with paradigm-shifting
Uranus stationing retrograde
through 12/1. Outer planets such
as Uranus work pretty much the same no matter which direction they're moving.
Outer planet stations are important because the planet stays in one place for a
long time, focusing its energy more intensely. Therefore, Uranus' energy of
revolution, innovation, shock and awakening is especially potent in the weeks
around the time when it appears to be standing still against the fixed stars.
Venus and Mercury both make strong connections with Uranus today, as
well as the "Three Aquarians" (Neptune, Chiron and Jupiter) hanging out around
26° Aquarius.
Mercury's easy-connecting trine to the Three Aquarians* makes
it easier for the rational mind to receive the flow of intuitive wisdom,
mentoring from others and expanded optimism. Its square to Uranus can strengthen
intuitive flashes, while also increasing the tendency to resist acting on them.
Venus' square to the Three Aquarians,* if not used consciously,
can increase the chance of fuzzy thinking regarding relationships and a wounding
on some level. Take the bull by the horns by focusing on deeper soul-connection
with your dear ones, as well as healing and the sharing of wisdom. Also consider
getting a reality check regarding any relationship challenges you're having from
someone with a more objective perspective.
7/2 (Thu).
Relationship, creativity and finance are amplified (and potentially challenged)
today as Venus squares Jupiter and sextiles Uranus. Be sure to honor any
intuitive flashes you receive in these areas!
7/3 (Fri).
Mercury enters Cancer through 7/17. Your
thoughts are a bit more likely to turn to healing and nurturing, and it will be
easier to charge your communications with greater emotional power. (Truly
objective thinking, however, will be a bit harder to come by!)
7/4 (Sat).
July 4 may be a good day to declare mental independence and speak your deepest
truth as Mercury opposes Pluto. Just be prepared to calmly and lovingly
stand your ground against an opposing viewpoint.
7/5 (Sun).
Mars begins a challenging contact with the
Three Aquarians, squaring Chiron today and Neptune and Jupiter tomorrow.
Watch for sudden outbursts of anger or violence, which may be precipitated by
fanaticism or deluded thinking. Counter these negative tendencies by taking
action to promote healing and divine union.
Venus enters Gemini today thru 7/31, making it easier to take
relationships and creativity in a more playful and eclectic direction.
