* After a service interruption affecting two episodes, my podcast is once again being distributed by iTunes and other podcast distribution services,
* I'm offering a sliding scale fee on my electional astrology services too,
* I'm giving an astrology lecture in Asheville on Oct. 28,
* I'm doing walk-up consultations at the LEAF Festival, in Black Mountain, NC, Oct. 17-19, and
* I'm doing an internet radio call-in show on Mon., Oct. 20.

Podcast Back on iTunes
After a nerve-wracking week and a half, I have finally succeeded in getting my weekly podcast, This Week in Astrology, back onto iTunes! (Are we surprised that the problem hit right about the time Mercury went retrograde?)
My apologies for the interruption in service, especially to all those loyal listeners who emailed asking what had happened to the show. The distribution glitch turned out to be a simple fix -- simple, that is, after spending many hours researching more than I ever wanted to know about the minutiae of podcast distribution in order to identify the elusive source of the problem!
At any rate, those who get This Week in Astrology through iTunes, or any other podcast distribution service, are once again being served. And please note that, should another service interruption ever occur, you can always get the show from its homepage, ThisWeekInAstrology.com.

Benjamin to Lecture on "Light-Speed Astrology" Oct. 28
Benjamin will speak on "Light Speed Astrology: Diving into the Heart of the Chart" at the October 2008 meeting of the Asheville Friends of Astrology on Tuesday, Oct, 28 from 7 to 9 p.m. His presentation will be held in the Earth Fare Westgate Community Room, 66 Westgate Parkway in Asheville.
After doing hundreds of walk-up consultations, Benjamin has learned how to zoom right in on the chart's most important information. He'll demonstrate several zero prep techniques, including how to scope out a natal chart's "hot spots," identify the most significant transits, progressions and solar arcs to personal planets and angles, and dialogue with the client to make sure that their concerns are being addressed. He will use the charts of audience volunteers to demonstrate his methods.

Sliding Scale Rates For Electional Astrology, Too!
I've been getting a lot more calls for electional astrology lately -- mainly to help time the listing and closing dates of home sales. (Electional astrology pinpoints the best times to take important actions. Making sure that your critical actions are supported by the most favorable possible energies is more important then ever in these tough economic times!)
Just to make sure you know, I am also willing to apply the sliding scale rates I announced in the last newsletter to my electional work. I normally charge a $125 flat fee for an electional question, but will reduce that fee as low as $95 by request.
