2011-2012 World Affairs Lecture Series
Tuesday, November 15, 2011, 7 PMClimate Capitalism: The Business Case for SustainabilityL. Hunter Lovins President and Founder, Natural Capitalism Solutions
Believe in climate change. Or don't. But you'd better understand this: the best route to rebuilding our economy, our cities, and our job markets, as well as assuring national security, is doing precisely what you would do if you were scared to death about climate change. In Climate Capitalism, L. Hunter Lovins, with sustainability expert Dr. Boyd Cohen, tells the stories of inventors, major corporations, communities, and main street businesses who are cutting their costs, driving innovations, inspiring their employees, and building prosperity by investing in energy efficiency and renewable resources. Read more This lecture is presented as part of the Utah Council for Citizen Diplomacy's Ambassador John Price and Marcia Price World Affairs Lecture Series, in partnership with Westminster College's Weldon J. Taylor Executive Lecture Series and American Express. All lectures are free and open to the public, and held in the Vieve Gore Concert Hall at Westminster College.
