2nd Annual Utah International Higher Education Summit

November 9, 2011, 7:30 AM, University of Utah (Olpin Union)

"Internationalization" has become a common theme on campuses across the nation, reflecting growing recognition that the futures of individual countries and the world as a whole are deeply intertwined, and that the creation of globally competent citizen is a key goal of higher education. By bringing internationalization leaders from across the state together, the goal of this year's Summit is to share ideas on effective organization-both internally within individual institutions and externally through cooperation among higher educational institutions, government and business-for expanding and deepening internationalization for the benefit of all. Having played a major role in the University of Minnesota's nationally recognized internationalization efforts, Dr. Gene Allen brings unique and insightful perspectives on these important issues.
