All International Visitors are accompanied by U.S. Department of State Interpreters and/or English Language Officers. UCCD Welcomes Ms. Lee Satterfield, New DAS for Professional and Cultural Affairs
The Utah Council for Citizen Diplomacy welcomes Ms. Lee Satterfield, new Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Professional and Cultural Exchanges at the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. She oversees a broad range of professional, cultural, youth, and sports exchange programs to increase mutual understanding between Americans and people around the world. Among other initiatives supported by the Office of Citizen Exchanges, Ms. Satterfield heads the International Visitor Leadership Program, administered locally by UCCD. Learn more. |

SLCC Seeks Summer Host Families
This summer, Salt Lake Community College is looking for Host Families in the Downtown and Taylorsville areas of the Salt Lake Valley. Students from Shitennoji International Buddhist University in Osaka, Japan will be attending SLCC's South City and Taylorsville Redwood campuses from May 9 to August 9, 2011.
This is an exciting opportunity to positively impact the life of young men and women and make their stay in Utah unforgettable. Families will be compensated for full stay ($450/month).

As part of the United Nations Association of Utah April Meeting, Dr. Swen R. Swenson will discuss "Yugoslavia, Death of a Republic" on Tuesday, April 26, at 7:00 p.m. Dr. Swenson, a well-known Utah surgeon, lived in Vienna, Austria, and former Yugoslavia from 1993 to 1996, and witnessed the United Nations in action.
