Have You Heard the News...Bro Jimmy Retiring
This Sunday will be the last Sunday for Brother Jimmy to preach to FBCVA as pastor in the morning service starting at 11:00am. We will not have Kid's Church this Sunday for K-6th graders, however there will be nursery/toddler care available.
We will be helping Bro Jimmy and Darlene celebrate their retirement with a party this evening at 5 in the Van Alstyne Middle School. There will be hamburgers, hot dogs, sides and dessert. The church will furnish everything, but would like to ask everyone who can to bring a dessert. Hope everyone will try to be there this evening for this special time of fellowship.
Summit and GA Camps are this week.
There are 23 campers heading to GA camp and 140 teens heading to Summit Camp! Pray for them and their leaders in these important days.
VBS 2012 DATE CHANGE!!!

Mission El Paso
We have been discussing Mission El Paso in the student ministry over the past month, encouraging our students to pray about being a part of the Mission Team. We have created a page on our website (www.fbcva.com/missionep) with information. On this page we provide some resources to answer the question,'Is it safe to go to El Paso?' The page has an online form to complete to request more information or signup. Mission El Paso is scheduled for July 14-22.
