NEW ARTISTS |
DENNIS BAIRD~ pineknot, kentucky
Dennis Baird began wood-working at 9-years-old, when he became friends with the owner of a Wooden Utensil Company. He worked for them for 12 years, before striking out on his own, developing his own business. Dennis cuts each piece from all native Kentucky hardwoods from local wood mills, mainly focusing on black cherry; occasionally using walnut or rock maple. Using machines to shape and do the initial sanding, Each piece has a hand-sanded finish with a food safe mineral oil to make them functional for everyday use. His wooden kitchen utensils are so affordable, ranging from $4.oo - $15.oo. |
MARTHA ENRIQUEZ~ batavia, ohio
Pine Lane Soaps is a small family owned business dedicated to using all natural products for bath and body. Beginning in 1961, their grandfather began cultivating the land. Today the farm remains much the same as it did years ago ~ lively with hogs, chickens, geese, donkeys, a few cats & dogs and the addition of a new goat yard.
"We love our goats!"
Martha uses her goat's milk combined with the other natural oils to make moisturizing soaps that smell wonderful. These soaps are 100% natural containing emollients, vitamins, and triglycerides that leaves skin feeling softer and rejuvenated. |
FEATURED ARTIST |
SCOT & LAURA KELLERSBERGER~ salvisa, kentucky
Originally from the Pacific Northwest, Scot & Laura Kellersberger have enjoyed working with metal all their lives. Recently settling on a small farm outside of Salvisa, Ky, one of the first items on the agenda was to build a studio with the room to craft their metal art. Drawing ideas from daily life, they use a plasma-cutter and welder to capture everyday surroundings in the lasting media of metal. We have a great new collection of their garden stakes; bees, bunnies, butterflies, and more "perfect for spring" designs! Watch how they create everyday scenes and immortalizes them with fire and metal as feature Kentucky artists on Bluegrass and Backwoods. |
We look forward to seeing you on SATURDAY, MARCH 24 for our SATURDAY STUDIO afternoon with JANICE WEISER. We hope you'll enjoy all of the great artful events we have planned throughout the year- stay tuned & keep up-to-date with us on facebook.
THANK YOU for your continued patronage of indigenous and your support of our local artists and their creative endeavors. We have new art arriving daily, so stop by~ it'll put a smile on your face!
