~Alice Balterman, cincinnati, ohioget lost in Alice Balterman's worlds

For almost fifty years, local artist Alice Balterman has communicated her vivid visions of whimsy and magic through decoupage, assemblage, and collage.

Alice Balterman's artful syntheses of her collected objects and images are unique embodiments of her memories, views of life, and artistic sensibility. More importantly, her works are emissaries from the magical worlds of antique shops and books, from the aura of foreign lands and dreams, from special moments in childhood and the history of art. She hopes this special sense of curiosity and fantasy is conveyed to those who view and live with her artwork.

Twig Basket~ Jaime Iliff~Jaime Iliff, cincinnati, ohio
Jaime Iliff masterfully combines Ohio river valley clay, the ashes of rose petals, and broken whiskey bottles to create his unique line of stoneware. His newest collection is enhanced with nature-inspired colors, texture, and earthy tones, along with great twig-like accents.

Buttons and baubles~ Joyce Kaufman~Joyce Kaufman, cincinnati, ohio
Joyce creates wonderfully whimsical necklaces and bracelets after searching through her button jars collected from yard sales, flea markets, and other treasure troves. These discarded buttons and baubles from past eras take on an entire new life when Joyce wire-wraps them to create personal adornments fantastic for so many outfits and occasions.

Groovy Gold earrings~ Heather GrandmontHeather's jewelry designs are a juxtaposition of geometric and organic form. Her fascination with the endless possibility of this fusion allows her to create a diverse range of work with her signature sophistication and quality.  Each earring and necklace is a reflection of time, touch, and emotion.  Each piece has quiet moments in the most delicate and understated fashion.  They are a sentimental token to the giver and the wearer.  New collection starts at just eight bucks!
~Richard Kolb, Yardbirds, louisville, kyUK WILDCAT wine holder~ Richard Kolb
Yardbirds are handcrafted in Louisville, Kentucky by Richard Kolb. He and his father made the first one in August, 1991; and people loved it so much, Rich never stopped making them. His menagerie of birds, critters, dogs, and cats has grown from one to hundreds. He is constantly creating new designs~ like this one that just pounced right in. When people ask Rich about his creations, he smiles and says, "The things in life that bring us the most joy are those which are fun and unexpected, not the mere necessities." He believes we can all benefit from a little more whimsy in our lives! ENJOY!

New jewelry artist~ Amy Galon with her rosy reds~Amy Galon, mentor, ohio

Amy studied both English and Art in college. She was torn between these two loves; after spending four years teaching English, Amy decided to take a risk and become a full-time jewelry artist! She combines the qualities she loves in literature with her visual art through symbolism, color, and a bit of fun.

Amy Galon is a nationally recognized jewelry designer whose designs are inspired from dreams, fantasies, and decadent memories~ she hopes her jewelry returns you to a place of harmony, bliss, and carefree elation.
