Students Merge Global Health and Medicine
On the heels of his year-long global health research project in Bangladesh, fourth year medical student Jonathan Higgins shares in this video how the Duke Global Health Institute helped to make his experience educational and career-defining. He is one of more than a dozen Duke medical students to engage in global health research through the Third Year Global Health Study Program in the past several years. The program helps students identify, coordinate and find funding for a year-long research project dedicated to global health. With research opportunities expanding this year, Duke medical students have more options than ever before to contribute their knowledge and skills to the field of global health.
* MSII students, the Third Year Global Health Study Program is currently accepting applications. The deadline to apply is Friday, October 12.
