Did you know the Duke Global Health Institute supports the research, education or service projects of 54 Duke faculty working in 29 countries, including the United States? One such project, the North Carolina Health Disparities Fellowship, began this week and is focused on addressing health disparities in our own community.  Read more about the program below.

Also of note this week are several global health events, including the Managing Toxic Risks for Global Health Symposium taking place February 20.  Co-sponsored by the Institute, this daylong symposium highlights one of DGHI's signature research areas, global environmental health.

New North Carolina Health Disparities Fellowship Program Begins

NC Health and Wellness Trust Fund  and the Duke Global Health Institute have joined forces to establish a new fellowship program focused on addressing health disparities in North Carolina. The two-year fellowship aims to engage five talented public health  professionals in efforts to help close the health disparities gap in North Carolina. The project is funded by the North Carolina Health and Wellness Trust Fund as part of its statewide Eliminating Health Disparities Initiative.  Read more>>
