Greetings!
We are
delighted to announce that Mark Ottenweller, Global HIV/AIDS Coordinator for
HOPE Worldwide, will be the first speaker in this year's University Seminar on Global Health on September 3. This year, we are expanding the series to 10
speakers, and are organizing informal meetings between students and speakers to
encourage more dialogue.
We also draw your attention to the first in a new series of profiles of
our DGHI members. This series will
highlight the variety of global health research accomplished by these faculty members.
The first profile introduces Brian Wells Pence, Assistant Professor of
Community and Family Medicine and the Center for Health Policy.
As always, we also include information on new
research and education funding opportunities, calls for abstracts, and upcoming
events. If you have information you would like to see included in this
newsletter, please email Marsha Green ( marsha.green@duke.edu).
