Greetings!

We begin 2008 aware of the violence in Kenya and the affect it has not only on our friends and colleagues in Africa, but also on the programs that we collaborate with. Along with others at Duke, we are watching and waiting for calm to resume.

Meanwhile, we open the semester here at Duke with a flurry of activity, from Mark Rosenberg's University Seminar on Global Health on "Road Death in the Developing World; The Perfect Plague" to the announcement of the new Global Health Residency.

We are also delighted to unveil our new website (www.globalhealth.duke.edu). We welcome feedback and comments on the site: please send them to marsha.green@duke.edu.

Online Resource

Each week we highlight an online resource for global health information.

This week we are very pleased to announce the launch of our own new website (www.globalhealth.duke.edu). Our aim is to make this site a vibrant source of information and discussion for the global health community at Duke and beyond.

One of the many items you will find on the new website is a video of Barbara Pullen-Smith's December 4 University Seminar on Global Health on "Health Disparities in North Carolina." We will continue to videotape and post the University Seminar on Global Health each month.

We invite you to take time to visit our new website and get back to us with any comments, questions or other feedback. Please send comments to marsha.green@duke.edu.
