Greetings!
Don't you just love the change of seasons? There is a crispness in the air, a clearness in the morning and the evenings are still warm (in Sydney at least). The change of seasons reminds me of our own ability to be flexible and change when needed.
Last month I was on a cruise from Sydney to Honolulu and there was a lot of changes to go through. For the first 4 days of the 16 day cruise we changed the time an hour each day, there were new activities each day, we stopped in different islands, the weather was somewhat unpredictable and we were forever swaying through the hallways - but each of these changes made the trip exciting and memorable.
Although 16 days like this doesn't represent 'real life', it is interesting to note all of the changes that happen around us and to us in a given day, week, month, year and lifetime. One of the things I appreciate from NLP is the law of requisite variety - the presupposition that tells us that the person with the most flexibility will be better suited to any situation.
In this season of changes, as the leaves turn from green to gold and then fall from the trees, how flexible can you be? And, what difference does that flexibility make in your life?
Have a great turn of events! Heidi Heron ABNLP - Chairperson
ps. Speaking of change, remember the AGM and new Board Member elections is taking place at the June meeting - we'd love your involvement! The website is updated regulary with current nominations. |
