                                                             september 18th, 2012

  Greetings!

 Whew....

ruth at market Yes, a big deep sigh, as it has been quite a year so far. And here I am, at the other end of it, catching my breath and wanting to take the time to share with those of you,my dear past customers, that have been following me throughout the years...as my missives have been rather succinct and sporadic throughout these recent months.

2012 did indeed start with a bang and has been rolling along, taking me with it for the ride of my life....don't worry..all good. As noted in my last, literally titled "quick and dirty", update...and in this blog,we sold our home in Maine. 13 years ago we made that big move from Asia, and in the 13 years there we did quite a job in accumulating and simply leaving things to "deal with later". Well, "later" happened, and what a purging there was!

As hard as it was to make the decision to sell the house, it was the right one to make, and thus not conflicted. And as I had so much help, on so many levels, from so many friends... a thank you blog here.... I was able to stay relatively sane throughout the whole process, which is only 8 weeks behind me.

I write this to you from Maryland, where I have been scouring for a new home to rest, reside, and work olbrych new house from. AND, the good news is, that we are under contract with a home on the Eastern Shore. Home inspection done and in good shape to plan for a 9/28 closing!

high point logo fall 2012 And right on the heels of moving in, it will be off to the High Point Furniture Market, for Antiques by Zaar AND my ever evolving ZAAR Design Center....which now boasts product from 15 different companies. Check out some photos here of the 2,700 square feet dedicated to the zdc Design Center...the remaining 10,000 square feet accomodate all of Antiques by Zaar inventory.

So, that's what I've been up to...getting from there to here and moving from from my new here to that great "there".

I thank each and every one of YOU who have come into my world by way of this business, offering so much to this ever changing world that has at it's constant the commitment of  YOU my customers.

Look forward to hearing from you/and possibly meeting you? Being in Maryland centers me more geographically not only to my inventory in NC, but also to many of you. Always good for a cup of coffee...decaf please.
