WOW!
 It's been11 years since I launched as the first online only etailer of Chinese Antique Furniture.... taking after my pioneer spirited parents, so THANK YOU to them for this Gift! ...AND, after being "live" for four long months, I finally garnered my first online sale no other than Thanksgiving weekend! What a great anniversary to have, don't you think? Sooooo, in broad strokes....
THANKS to the tool of the World Wide Web, providing an affordable
and geographically unlimited storefront, being available so that I could work from home, raising my 3 teenagers...and a bevy of golden retrievers....yes, the latter of which some found homes with Antiques by Zaar customers.
 THANK YOU to ALL of my customers, but a special thanks to those early shoppers, the great majority of those sales being made direct to the consumer, that, one by one, came along, liked what they saw, purchased, and thereby each contributed to the grounding of AbyZaar.
THANKS to the ability of communicating via an online newsletter,
started in 2004, where I've been able to keep the growing number of Antiques by Zaar customers/friends/family, abreast of activities...both of a business and personal nature.
THANKFUL for what positioning my business in High Point, NC has meant for my business, entrenching my "real world" presence there fully with warehouse move from ME to NC in 2008.
Am THANKFUL for the introduction of Social Media, as it offers a
myriad of venues, see links on left side bar, for me to be "real" with my customers, prospective and past...adding greatly to the reach I have of the 5,000 on my mailing list.
Am THANKFUL for the Organizations of Substance to which I belong and deign to support and promote, namely the High Point Design Center, and WITHIT.
 Am simply THANKFUL for the platform of this business, Antiques by Zaar and the sister business, the newly evolving ZAAR Design Center, as both serve as my "connecting point" with a world that is rich beyond belief... with the many wonderful people I count as part of my community, as I go about the business of selling Chinese Antiques and promoting the business/product of others.
And finally, am THANKFUL for my family, for which this business is named after. May the continued growth of ZAAR serve well as a platform for each of them to see how "something" can become an extension of oneself, and that, with a Passion for it, coupled with Patience, Persistence and a continued Presence....and more than a fistful of Faith, that one can create something which is meaningful on many levels...including the practical one of making a living for oneself!
THANK YOU for indulging me by reading this missive... and for being part of my world....either as a past customer, supporter, fellow entrepreneur, prospective customer, or simply a like minded Soul.
 Hope you had a wonderful THANKSGIVING....although we woke up to a snow covered landscape, the sun enveloped us, just as the warmth surrounding this time of year does, as we reflect and give THANKS.
