Kat Burki/Antiques by Zaar |
The Color Green....
We share a penchant for the vibrant granny smith apple green...that which infuses the Kat Burki image.
...and it is that color green that Kat used in the South Hampton showhouse, blog here, using 2 art deco desks from Antiques by Zaar to work within her scheme.
Folks at Traditional Home were impressed enough to feature Kat and her love of green in April 2010 issue...yeah for both of us.
Note: This is my 2nd time for Antiques by Zaar to be in Traditional Home. Click here if you missed the October 08 article "It's Good to be Ching. |

Greetings!
I know, I know...you haven't heard from me since mid March. Yes, OUCH...and so very very sorry. I'm here. My pulse is strong and I haven't forgotten about You!
Does the 20,000 plus miles I''ve put on my car (since purchasing mid August) have anything to do with my erratic writing? Well, yes it does, as I still haven't figured out the best way to stay on top of things while on the road.
Oh, no problem keeping the wheels turning for sales, queries and the such, but it appears that my writing is best done from my home office in Maine. THIS is going to have to change, and am addressing this. Not going to lie, each newsletter is a major "production" for me and one which I take great care in presenting.
However, each time I write a newsletter it doesn't need to be a book, (so I'm told and particularly if I'm not going to be able to put out once/month as I desire) so, rather than these extended times between missives I've determined that I will offset my full to the brim writings, with shorter announcment type "bullitens"...just to touch you, assuring you that I am here, and that I have not forgotten about you.
So, without further delay....the News!

New Inventory En Route!
Happy to share the news that we do indeed have a container due to arrive in our NC warehouse before the end of the month. Pieces are being prepared to be posted on the site but in the meanwhille you can see the entire shipment by visiting this link.
Should there be any piece(s) of interest to you, just let me know and I can readily send additional photos. And the process continues as we start to line up what to bring in our summer container.
If you have any special requests (for what may have gotten sold out from under you) let me know and will see what can be done to secure something similar. And, as noted on sidebar here, we are able to do custom work. |
The Month Behind...
...or more aptly put, the "2 months behind"
It has been a whirlwind but all of a good kind. Following last communique I was off to the races preparing for the Spring Furniture Market in High Point, NC, which took place April 17-22.
Excitedly approached this my 6th year exhibiting in High Point, as I included new "Trade Partners", showing their product lines, with me, in my warehouse space. For photos of our joint presentation @ my warehouse, click here.
Each of us has something unique to offer and contribute, not only by way of our appealing and diverse product lines, but also by way of the energy and people behind each of the above noted businesses. The synergy that is being created is nothing less than exciting and we've only just begun. |
The Month Ahead...
The big obvious news is the arrival of our container, offering a nice breadth of pieces for you to shop.See pieces highlighted in sidebar.
Also looking forward to seeing Antiques by Zaar in print again. Elaine Griffin, New York based designer (contributor to the Today Show) has been a long time friend of AbyZaar. Summer 2005 she asked me to contribute to the Safe Horizon makeover, which was featured in the O at Home magazine. Most recently she selected a piece for a bedroom makeover that will be featured in June issue of Better Homes and Gardens, where she now serves as a contribuiting editor.
Traditonal Home in April, Better Homes and Gardens in June....not bad! I am allowed to brag a tad aren't I?
And, with summer upon us and college kids available, I am very much looking forward to getting some help with major housekeepng projects...refreshing the website, updating my contact list and working more angles to add to our growinig list of customers that already shop Chinese Antique Furniture online with Antiques by Zaar. |
Showing off my Chinese themed Mom's Day Cake |
I am Antiques by Zaar and I have so enjoyed catching you up on what is up with me and my business, as I've been doing by way of my newsletters for the past 6 years. .
My blog on my mother's day
For those of you that are customers, it is my way to say "hey"
For those of you that are prospects, it is my way of saying..."this is who/what I am...for real. Give a call!"
For those of you that are wondering if you should share yourself personally, as I do, to your network of contacts,by way of a personalized newsletter, this is my way of saying "it is so worth the effort".
Yes, I will continue on in this vein, but in the interest of touching you a little more regularly, I will be putting out some shorter, to the point, bullitens.....hope you understand and continue to look forward to the newsletters as they come out, for they surely will for years to come.
I Welcome You All To My World!
...and, as you know, very much look forward to hearing from you.
Warmly,
My Green of Spring...this, and so much more. |
