I've been selling Chinese antiques online since November 2000, presenting and making my collection available to the general public and Trade alike...however, the direct consumer built the backbone of this business....and many of these direct consumers being repeat customers.

| Greetings!
Even though we had a fresh snowfall on the very last day of February, can't really say that March came in like a Lion, as said snow all but melted within a 24 hour period....meriting my taking of photos within a week that show the dramatic change in scenery from one week to the next. (Click here to view said photos.)
Combine the extreme weather patterns not only in Maine, but also in NC, with my winter trip to a very hot and humid Singapore, I feel I have experienced at least 3 seasons in the past 30 days, and possibly why, as an afterthought, my body is responding with a cold.
My change of locales similarly affected my buisness, for I worked nominally while on vacation in Singapore, remotely while in NY, and hands on while in NC, before wending my way back to ME to plant myself at my desk in my home office.
Thanks to those that have helped to get 2010 off to a great start for Antiques by Zaar. And, as always, a fresh infusion of inventory remains a great way to bring in a New Year. |
New Inventory Update!
I love having new pieces to present beginning of each year. Right on schedule our container landed in Hight Point NC early Feb (yes, while I was at the beach) with many pieces from said container already having found their way into new homes.
New items that are still available can all be found in appropriate catagories on the website. Any questions, give a shout.
Also excited to advise that we are in final throes of filling our next container, and will update you with photos and schedule in short order...but for now, a heads up that a 2nd fresh infusion is soon to be presented and on it's way.

In my previous newsletter I made note of my plans to go visit my daughter in Singapore. In addition to that, and as alluded to in opening paragragh of this newsletter, I also spent time in NY and NC....all of which has been noted in blog postings...along with links to photo albums on respective blogs.

The Month Ahead...
As much as I enjoyed every aspect of last month I am happy to be planted in Maine for a few weeks before making the trek to North Carolina for the Spring 2010 High Point Furniture Market, taking place April 17-22.
Many exciting things being planned and look forward to meeting our Trade customers in NC for said show. And the beauty of having my website as my store front is that I can still be OPEN for business for YOU, while being front stage and center durinig the show.
So yes, these days are full with writing...blogs, newsletters and press releases...and when not writing, on the phone and email. Never a dull moment, but as I quipped in my most recent blog,
