High Point Design Center |

| |
Although my business presence was established and remains strong through my virtual store, www.antiquesbyzaar.com , I am pleased to be in a position where I am able to show case my offerings to those in the Trade that find their way to High Point, NC, the "furniture capital of the world" to find their finds. I am so happy I had the fore sight to move my warehouse from Maine to North Carolina, and more specifically High Point, premised on this reputation and also my participation in the High Point Furniture Market, as a vendor, since 2004. Furthermore, I am so happy I listened to my friend Michael Uvanni, (click here to see article in current issue of Design Today on Michael's business in Rome NY) when he suggested I join the High Point Design Center, to enhance my visibility to the Trade business, particularly with warehouse in place. And as such, I am thrilled to offer the following opportunities to visit Antiques by Zaar.

High Point Design Center: Poker Run August 5-6
Shannon Hamed of Scott Thomas, chair of the event (and dear dear friend) has organized a wonderful event, offering opportunities for Designers to do some shopping and have some fun while at it. To participate in the poker run, buyers must visit at least five showrooms on a given day, and will receive a playing card at each space. The top four winning hands and the worst hand will receive gifts to be awarded at cocktail parties at Hamilton Square on Aug.5 and Market Square on Aug. 6. A wonderful list of prizes have been donated ranging from free room nights at local hotels to chairs, benches, lamps and other items from participating vendors. Antiques by Zaar will (of course) be one of the 50 plus showrooms open for business. Jeff Moore will be there for me, on the ready (and with refreshments) for all that want to get one of their 5 cards to be eligible for a chance at winning of the many great prizes available. A new container just arrived in our warehouse just last week, adding a fresh infusion of pieces for you to peruse and consider for your store/clients.

High Point Design Center: Designer Appreciation Day
If you can't make it for the Poker Run, know that we'll be open again all day on Wednesday September 2nd for Designer Appreciation Day. Just a heads up for this next scheduled event by HPDC. Should you be interested in previewing our warehouse online you can do so by visiting link below, and view a video I took last Spring after Market. Click here to have virtual tour of the Antiques by Zaar High Point warehouse. Similarly, on days other than what have been noted here, the warehouse is open by appointment throughout the year. |
More Missives from Ruth/AbyZaar
Although an erratic schedule on the missives produced, I am enjoying my (at minimum weekly) blogging, which is in essence shorter snippets of the personal side of what you get in my newsletters, along with testimonials and product information, application suggestions, and the such. They are brief and accompanied by photos, and if I say so myself, a nice way to get to know me/my business better. So, feel free to sign up and comment at will. My most recent entry highlighted the visit to our warehouse by Dr. Daphne Rosenzweig, an appraiser who specializes in Asian and Islamic pieces. Click here to visit my blog. |
Look Forward to Hearing From You
Thank you for this opportunity to catch you up on the many ways we are present for you and look forward to the gift of hearing from you and/or seeing you in High Point, or somewhere between here and there as I plan my trips between Maine and North Carolina in these up coming months. In the meanwhile hope you're enjoying this last month of summer.
