Greetings!

Ruth Olbrych Antiques by ZaarThe lack of a communiqu from me by way of a newsletter was not for any reason except that I was trying on a new "hat" as owner/operator for Antiques by Zaar. You have all come to expect my diatribes on the business by way of this newsletter, and I have gotten quite comfortable "talking" to you this way. Writing blogs and press releases, well that is a different story, and although remiss in drafting a newsletter I have been quite busy spreading the AbyZaar word.

AbyZaar Press Release !!

Was it merely coincidence or serendipity that as I was putting the finishing touches on my first press release that Western Reporter Magazine found me on Twitter and started following me. Upon realizing that this publication appealed to an audience that pertained to my field I simply asked if they'd be interested in putting out my press release. Within minutes it was posted online and it was just enough to encourage me forth and approach other publications with same material. As such I'm pleased to say that I have that "first" behind me as I continue to establish relationships with various editorial folks that are happy to receive and post what I send them. Click here to see us in Furniture Today, which focuses on the AbyZaar move to High Point, NC.
AbyZaar has a Blog

I've been threatening to do this for some months now and although still fine tuning presentation, am happy to advise that I am now in the "mode" to post weekly. "Social Networking: From a Babe in the Woods" (obvious), "Tobi Fairley: Congratulations and Thank You" addressed the Designers recent accolades by Traditional Home and her input from a presentation I heard her give, and just this week, drawing correlation between my participation in a concert this weekend and my online world "The Whole is Greater than the Sum of Its Parts".

Click here to visit my blog, if you'd like to read these posts and, should you want to receive regularly, you can have them come into your email in box by clicking the invitation on right hand side of the text and filling in your email address. (You can opt out at any time if you find you hear enough of me already by way of this newsletter.) I look forward to using this venue to not only spout off endlessly on topics of interest, but also to highlight customers (retail and trade) that agree to show off their AbyZaar purchases and share about their online shopping experience. I will do my best to keep the postings interesting and not too lengthy.

Inventory Update

In addition to writing my heart out we have also been updating the website. Inventory pieces that we have owned (and somehow slipped through the cracks) and are in house, are being posted daily. We are working on scheduling our next Buy and will let you know when such is secured. In the meanwhile we are in the throes of preparing for the High Point Furniture Market which starts Saturday April 25th
Happy Easter

Antiques by Zaar Easter LilliesBy way of accepting a request to puppy sit Rusty, one of the pups we sold from our last litter, we are in for an interesting weekend. Been awhile since we've had a 4.5 month old pup in the house and wonder how our 3 dogs will take to the visitor.

I wish you and yours a delightful Easter weekend. I am going to take the advice of Dale Carnegie and not "get so busy or live so fast not to listen to the music of the meadow or the symphony that glorifies the forest. Some things in the world are far too important to ignore, and one of them is the ability to enjoy the simple things", like a visiting puppy.
