Greetings!
Ruth Olbrych

June 6th, our eldest turned 21. Where has the time gone? (Has it really been 21 years since we went from being a couple to being parents???) And next month our youngest turns 18, joining her 2 siblings in the Fall as a college student. So, yes empty nesters we will be, in one fell swoop, or so it seems. We have been asked plenty as to what this will mean to us, and my ready quip is "to engage more fully in our business".

And to that end
Mark  returned early June from doing a buying trip for us, and should I have not scooped him away to take a small road trip to visit some of our customers, (and experienced some problems with our internet connection prior to taking said trip) I would've had this newsletter out to you much sooner. (Hmmm. Would taking time to actually travel "together" be in the forecast for us???) So, here I am, with our furniture well on its way to us (and closer than the usual timing of this posting) advising you of its pending arrival.

Please enjoy visiting our new purchases, in its entirety, (Click here to View). For your convenience we have now included dimensions and pricing on this site, located in text box under first photo for each item. However, if you have difficultly locating such, please don't hesitate to give me a shout. Also for your convenience the link to the New Buy is boldly displayed on the Home Page of our website.

Bamboo Desks:  Always a challenge to locate desks and thus thrilled to have added two to our Chinese Bamboo Deskcollection. Expertly refurbished, these bamboo pieces are ready for every usage.  Along with the natural elmwood finish top and drawers we have done similar pieces in Red and Black lacquers. Click on the picture for more details

Chinese Red Lacquer DresserRed Bureaus: Exuding a warm patina we have secured a total of 3 of these mid sized chests of drawers. As always, "same but different", but ALL with great appeal. Click on the picture for more details.  For other similar pieces please feel free to contact me on our toll free number 1-866-868-9227 or via email Ruth@antiquesbyzaar.com

Painted Glass Panels: A departure from our usual offerings of artwork, this set was too appealing to pass up. The depiction of the Four Beauties of China are artfully done on glass as "reverse paintings" (I e, on the back side of the glass) and in original frames. From Shanghai, they are looking to be perfectly placed in someone's home stateside. (Click Here to view)

Chinese Antique SideboardNew Finish: Working with our vendors we are happy to present two pieces done in distressed white lacquer. Wax finish completes the allure of these finely done pieces.  We have also had a Fujin Armoire refinished as well.  Click here to view.  These two pieces would make a nice set.  Click on the picture for more details.

It continues to be our practice to take deposits on these items as they wend their way from China. 30% will do, with balance due once the container lands and we're ready to ship your way.
Of course don't hesitate to revisit the site to ensure you haven't missed something that we've recently posted and is already in house. Daily pieces are being added, thanks to the diligent efforts of Mark and Zachary.

Look Forward to Hearing From You

Whether it's a long weekend lounging at home or a road trip to meet up with friends/relatives, I wish you a safe and happy July 4th.

And of course, as always, look forward to hearing from you.
