On the Move: New Warehouse |
End of January I took a trip to NC to try and locate a new warehouse space for us in High Point. Not only did we secure a great new space within the city limits of High Point, but we initiated and completed the move from our previous space in the 2 days following the securing of the new lease. (No small feat considering we had about 800 pieces of furniture and home accent pieces.) For any of you that visited our previous warehouses think you will be well pleased with the upgrade in the new digs. Absolutely thrilled and excited about taking customers through to view our collection in this new 12,000 square foot space. As before visits to the warehouse are available throughout the year. Just give me a shout to set up an appointment and either I or our NC based rep will meet you. |
On the Move: January (BH) Container In House |
Happy to advise that, after a customs related delay of over a week, we have received the BH container in the new warehouse noted above. Over 80 items that we pre sold are being prepared to go directly out the door and the balance unpacked and put into inventory in preparation to do same on moment's notice. Of Particular Interest |
Mark and Zach (husband and son) have been busy getting the pieces posted to the website, but for the first time we have posted the link to the NEW BUY on our home page, and many have taken advantage of that posting. CLICK HERE TO VIEW NEW ARRIVALS However, if your preference to shop by category you may be interested in visiting the following noted categories which have had more than a handful of additions, namely:
SIDEBOARDS: Natural waxed finish, red and orange lacquer, black decorated, low credenzas. (CLICK HERE TO VIEW)
MIDSIZE CHESTS: Here you will find 2 herb cabinets, a unique wedding chest, and Korean money chest. Just to highlight a few. (CLICK HERE TO VIEW)
ARMOIRES/BOOKCASES:Finally able to showcase some of the book cases that have been getting scooped up on past buys. Here you will find 3 pairs to consider. Also a nice collection of black armoires have been added to our inventory. (CLICK HERE TO VIEW)
ALTAR TABLES: A section which needed to be addressed has been fleshed out nicely with a variety of styles. (CLICK HERE TO VIEW)
LAMPS: We still have a few of our new collection of lamps, which we still need to add to our site. (CLICK HERE TO VIEW)
Of course there is a smattering of pieces added in other categories as well and are well worth a visit. As always additional photos readily available upon request, to help give you a better sense of the piece you are considering. Also feel free to

On the Move: Getting Ready for Spring Market '08 |
As much as we loved the ambiance of the Market Square building, with contract ending early this year we determined it would behoove us to move into an area that albeit may be less charming, is less confusing to get to. To that end we are pleased to advise that we have secured a spot on the Ground floor of our sister building, Suites @ Market Square, namely G 932.
A trip to NC this month for yours truly to tick and tie things in the new warehouse and new showroom so that we are simply on the ready to sell, sell, sell come Market April 7-13, 2008 for our To The Trade Show

On the Move: Mark to China for Next Buy |
To keep that flow going and fill some holes in our inventory we are sending Mark back to China this month to do what he does best, and find prime pieces to offer to our customers. Look for the next newsletter, later this month, which will be offering that preview on FOTKI, which he prepares in Hong Kong before the long trip home.

2008 Thus Far: To recall and move on |
With 5 foot drifts lining our driveway I sense the snow will be here with us for awhile and thus can serve as something to be talked about, yet again this year. (Hopefully we don't lose our power as we did for 3 days during the Feb ice storm just before Valentines Day and the much anticipated high school semi formal.) New Years (Chinese or otherwise) have come and gone until this next calendar year (although in fairness to the Thai's they have yet to celebrate their New Year) and life will continue it's dramatic change for us as parents as we prepare to send the last of our 3 to college. Winter breaks when ALL (enjoyed a quick week with the older 2 visiting last week) come home will be much anticipated and we can enjoy the company of the entire family all in one place. (And in particular the banter that takes place around the dinner table). So, things to miss, (like watching our girl play hockey) and things to look forward to, like another litter of pups. Yes, Ruby is expecting a litter mid April.
